SRJC abides by the rules and regulations as set forth in the California Community College Athletic Association’s (CCCAA) Constitution and Sport Guides, the Big 8 Conference Constitution and Sport Supplements, and the Northern California Football Association Constitution and Supplement. The Athletics Director and the Dean of Admissions and Records determine all athletic eligibility.
The Athletics Director and the Vice President of Academic Affairs monitor the integrity of the intercollegiate athletic program regarding rules, compliance, eligibility, and competitiveness. The athletic academic counseling staff consists of several identified counselors who understand the special needs of student athletes for eligibility and transfer. Periodic reports on attendance and class progress are requested from each student athlete’s instructors. These reports are reviewed by the respective coaches, the Athletics Director, and, when indicated, the Athletics Counselors.
