In 2009, the District established the Southwest Santa Rosa Center. Its location is in Southwest Santa Rosa area, a community known as Roseland on 9.5 acres. The academic programs offered include Noncredit English as Second Language (ESL), College Skills, Older Adults, Computer Literacy, Adult Education and Community Education. It provides access to registration, assessment, orientation, counseling and follow-up services to various off-campus locations throughout Sonoma County.

Annually the Southwest Santa Rosa Center serves more than 7,000 students, including English language learners, from various areas in the region. It serves as a point of entry for newly arrived immigrants from around the world. On any given day, visitors can hear multiple languages spoken and experience the different cultures students bring from their native countries. It provides the academic skills for a diverse student population that enrolls in general education, vocational certificates, and other educational courses. The academic success students achieve enables them to enter the local and regional workforce, and succeed in our community.
